Case study / Logistics & warehousing
A parcel line, tested in 16 scenarios at once
We built a parcel line in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and ran it across four belt speeds and four parcel mixes in a single GPU physics simulation. Most of the lines lost boxes. After one fix, none did.
- 16
- scenarios in one GPU simulation
- 12 of 16
- lines lost boxes before the fix
- 16 of 16
- kept every box after it
- 4 × 4
- belt speeds by parcel mixes
The task
A conveyor line has to work at every belt speed and with every mix of parcels it will see, not just the one someone happens to test.
What we did
We built the line in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and ran 16 copies of it at once: four belt speeds against four parcel mixes, all in one GPU physics simulation.
Outcome
12 of the 16 lines lost boxes, thrown off the curve or pushed over the end of the pallets. We added guide rails and an end stop to every line and ran all 16 again. Every box stayed on.
